Between June 2017 and April 2018, the Water|Ways exhibit from the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service was on display in six Alabama Cities – Eufaula, Decatur, Alexander City, Spanish Fort, Jasper and Selma. As the exhibit moved from city to city, the University of Alabama Center for Public Television and Radio recorded oral histories from individuals identified by the local coordinators in each city. The oral history videos, produced by Max Shores and Preston Sullivan, documented the importance of water in each city.
