Fire Horse Pottery

Posted on May 11, 2013January 29, 2020 by Max

Her beautiful pottery reproduces the styles of medieval and renaissance times. Kerry Kennedy is an artist in residence at the Kentuck Art Center in Northport, Alabama and her studio operates under the name Fire Horse Pottery.

Kerry and her husband participate in the Society for Creative Anachronism, an international organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts and skills of pre-17th-century Europe. She has been specializing in medieval and renaissance reproductions since 2002.

I produced this video profile for the Alabama Detours series on WVUA 23. The short Alabama Detours appear during commercial breaks and introduce interesting people and beautiful locations in Alabama. The cinematography was by Preston Sullivan and I did the editing. We only broke two pieces of pottery while we were shooting this!
