Ken Swindle, a resident of Tuscaloosa and 1974 graduate of the UA Law Enforcement Academy, served on the Tuscaloosa Police Department for 34 years and was chief for 20 years. He works for Prince, Glover, and Hayes Law Firm where he is chief investigator. A member of Northridge Baptist Church, he serves as a trustee and deacon.
The annual Realizing the Dream Awards are presented by the University of Alabama Division of Community Affairs.
