Jennings Bryant is the former director of the University of Alabama’s Institute for Communication Research. His direction, leadership and commitment to research left a lasting impact upon the fields of communication, media effects, interpersonal communication and beyond.
A University of Alabama Honors College class helped create five public discussions broadcast on Alabama Public Television. Topics included fake news, rural healthcare, guns in Alabama, the opioid crisis, and the #MeToo movement. The programs were recorded in Studio UA, located in the University’s Digital Media Center.
Between June 2017 and April 2018, the Water|Ways exhibit from the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service was on display in six Alabama Cities – Eufaula, Decatur, Alexander City, Spanish Fort, Jasper and Selma.
